VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Greetings Young Professionals!!
Thank you for considering volunteering for the 2023 Urban Expo Back to School Festival, scheduled for this Saturday, August 5, 2023. Your presence & participation is greatly appreciated by the partners and sponsors, St. Louis Public Schools and the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis. The purpose of this email is to share important logistical information for the day of this event for potential volunteers. In preparation for this exciting day, we ask that you please take a moment to review the following information and attached to this email.
There are multiple volunteer opportunities available on Saturday including working in our ULYP St. Louis membership booth. You can work shifts depending on the position. There will be a zoom call in the next few days to cover logistics. The link will be sent to those that rsvp to volunteer. For immediate questions, email the Admin Barry Neal at admin@ulyp-stl.org.

Moving In & Setting Up
America’s Center will be open for all vendors to start setting up their booth(s) on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 8:00am to 5:00pm. We will be setting up our booth starting at 2:00pm.
Vendors should enter/exit the facility via the Dome dock (Cole Street at 6th Street) on Friday & Saturday, including move-in, show day, and move-out.
Vendors, you are HIGHLY encouraged to set up during the Friday Move In time. There will be individuals available to assist with moving items to your booth(s).
At vendor check in, please stop by to grab your wrist bands and credentials (if necessary).
Plaza Central is the smaller entrance on Convention Plaza between Gates A & B (Convention Plaza at 6th Street) for Staff and Volunteers on both Friday and Saturday.
The doors will also open as early as 7:00 am on Saturday, August 5, 2023 for vendors to finish setting up.
Parking
SLPS Board of Education has made their parking garage located at 801 North 11th Street available for all STAFF, VENDORS, AND VOLUNTEERS ONLY. A shuttle bus will be provided to transport vendors, staff and volunteers from that parking garage to the America’s Center starting at 7:00am until 6:30pm. Shuttle services are courtesy of Missouri Central and SLPS Transportation Division.
Carpooling is HIGHLY encouraged.
FREE Parking has been made available to the public.
7th Street Parking Garage - 410 N 7th Street, St. Louis, MO 63101
East Garage – 420 N. 6t Street, St. Louis, MO 63101
Community Shuttling will also be provided (see attached).
Meal Tickets SFE – Southwest Foodservice Excellence, LLC, the meal provider for St. Louis Public Schools will provide a complimentary meal. Vendors/Exhibitors will receive complimentary meal ticket located on your wrist band to partake! You can also bring your own food into the dome.
WIFI Accessibility
Special Thanks to SMART City, the 2023 Urban Expo will have access to free Wi-Fi.

Move Out
The event will close Saturday at 6pm. You will be able to move your items out until 10pm. The items left can be picked up on Sunday August 6th until 10am.
