We’re getting ready for Trunk or Treat 2026, and we need volunteers to help us create a fun, safe, and welcoming evening for families across our community!

Friday, October 30, 2026
Event: 4:00–7:00 PM.  Volunteering: 2:00pm to 7:30pm
Urban League Centene Center 2900 Pershall Rd, St. Louis, MO 63136 (near Interstate 270 and New Halls Ferry Road)

Free admission • Free food • Candy • Costumes • Music • Family Fun

There are several ways to help before, during, and after the event.

Volunteer Opportunities

Setup Crew — 2:00–4:00 PM
Help with lighting, tables, signage, and trunk spot markers.

Check-In & Wristbands — 3:30–7:00 PM
Welcome families, distribute wristbands and event materials, and help guests get started.

Traffic, Parking & Line Flow — 3:30–7:00 PM
Guide vehicles and families while helping keep the Trunk or Treat route safe and moving smoothly.

First Aid & Lost-Child Station — 3:30–7:00 PM
Staff our designated safety station. CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.

Photos & Social Media — 3:30–7:00 PM
Capture photos, short videos, family moments, and testimonials during the event.

Floaters & Candy Restock — 3:30–7:00 PM
Restock participating trunks, cover volunteer breaks, and assist wherever extra help is needed.

Activities Team — 3:30–7:00 PM
Help with the trunk decorating contest, costume parade, voting, and activity stations.

Teardown Crew — 7:00–7:30 PM
Help clean the lot, pack supplies, break down tables and signage, and close out the event.

When signing up:

  1. Find the volunteer opportunity you would like to serve in.
  2. Add your name to an available volunteer slot.
  3. Include your contact information if requested on the sheet.
  4. Feel free to sign up for more than one shift if your schedule allows.

Volunteer positions are limited, so please sign up as soon as possible. We’ll send additional information to volunteers before the event, including arrival instructions, parking details, assignments, and day-of expectations.

Whether you can help for an hour, work the entire event, or join the setup or teardown team, every set of hands will help us give St. Louis families a great Halloween experience.
