Who Can Run

Any active ULSTLYP member may run; leadership experience is preferred but not required. Submit by November 7, 2025: Name & office, 150‑word statement, and a headshot (optional 1‑minute video).

Voting Method

The election will be conducted online using a secure voting platform (e.g., Google Forms, ElectionRunner, or SurveyMonkey). Each member will receive a unique link or code to ensure one vote per person. The Election Committee will manage ballot verification and certification.

Election Oversight Committee

A three member impartial Election Committee will oversee the process to ensure fairness, transparency, and confidentiality. They will verify candidate eligibility, administer the ballot, and certify the final results.

Communication Plan

    • Oct 21: Announcement & nomination call
    • Oct 28: Reminder — last day to nominate
    • Nov 10: Candidate bios & statements published
    • Nov 22: Ballot link sent & voting opens
    • Dec 3: Results announced
    • All communications will be distributed via email, GroupMe, and ULSTLYP social channels.

Transition & Onboarding

Incoming officers will begin the overlap period in December. Outgoing officers will share key resources, passwords, and project briefings. New officers must review and acknowledge the ULSTLYP bylaws and organizational goals.
